In NEPG scoring are the seconds converted to minutes, added to the minutes?

The seconds are added to the minutes. The scores are total cumulative time lost for the day. I.e., if you lost 4:41 seconds in one section, then 7:36 in the next, you'd be down a total of 12:17 for the day. In traditional AMA scoring, you would've been down 11 points, with seconds only used to break ties if it were an "emergency" or tie-breaking check.
